Find Item

Use the Find, Last, Previous, Next and Last item buttons to locate a specific item (or record) in the controlling dataset. In a Project Summary report, an item would be a "project". For downhole graphics, an item typically represents a "drillhole".

Find a drillhole

Since the drillhole is often the basic data item on which navigation is based, we will refer to drillholes in the following descriptions.

There are several ways to select a drillhole:

  • Click the Previous item button to move to the previous drillhole, or the Next item button to move to the next drillhole.
  • Click the Find item button to search for a specific drillhole.

The Find Record in Controlling Dataset form allows you to specify a search field (eg. BHID) and a search value (i.e. the drillhole number). This is usually the quickest way to move to a specific drillhole.

Double-click the appropriate dataset in the datasets list and use the data browser to navigate to the drillhole of your choice.

You can use the item navigation tools to move from one report item to the next, or move to the last item in the report, or the first item in the report.

When you move from one drillhole to the next, all data links and queries are refreshed automatically. Depending on the complexity of the report, this could take several seconds.
