Options
On the Text Options tab, set the layout of the text:
Horizontal alignment
By default, the Horizontal alignment of the text is LEFT. If you want to change it, specify a new (LEFT, RIGHT, CENTRE) alignment of the text relative to the frame.
Vertical alignment
By default, the Vertical alignment of the text is CENTRE. If you want to change it, specify a new (TOP, BOTTOM, CENTRE) alignment of the text relative to the frame.
Font
The text will be displayed as a true type font on the plot. You can select the name of the font and specify whether it will be displayed in Bold, Italic, or Underlined.
Note: For information about how font sizes are rendered in a plot, refer to the Plot Font Size topic.
Line Spacing
Specify the line spacing that will be used for the text. The default line spacing is 1. For double line spacing enter 2.
Note: When a spin control has focus, you can use the mouse wheel to increase or decrease the displayed value.
Default Colour
Double-click to select the default colour to be used for the text.
Make text fit the frame
There are two options for controlling the size of the text in the frame. The first is to set the size of the font. In this case, if the size of the font is too large to display the text wholly within the frame you will need to adjust the font size so that the text fits within the frame.
The second option is to select the Make text fit frame check box option. When this option is selected, increasing or decreasing the size of the frame will automatically increase or decrease the size of the text so that it fits within the frame.
Setting text substitutions
Reference plot
In a text frame you can include replaceable text by referencing the predefined substitutions (@plotfile, @scale etc.) in a referenced plot frame. If there are multiple plot frames in your layout, you may need to define which plot frame the substitutions come from.
By default, predefined substitutions are taken from the largest plot frame in the layout (when the Reference plot box is left blank).
For more information, refer to the Substitution Parameters topic.
