Drillhole Validation

Drillhole validation is performed against the data in a collar file and (optionally) the data contained in associated (survey and interval) files. If you do not validate your data at the time it is entered or imported, an exception will be raised if inconsistencies are found in those files.

Although some basic validation is performed when you add collar and Survey files to a drillhole database, for example, it is recommended that you run the Drillhole | Validate | Drillhole function against those files.

Since Interval and Event files only exist in the database as links to external files, no validation checks are performed when they are added to a Drillhole Database.

You can also validate all the files in a Drillhole Database by selecting Drillhole | Validate | Drillhole Database.
