Ellipse

Click the New Ellipse tool on the String Editor toolbar (Strings | Edit | New Ellipse) to create an ellipse by digitising a centre point and two radii.

When three points have been digitised, you can adjust the size and position of the ellipse in the Ellipse Properties form:

Ellipse Centre

Enter coordinates to adjust the centre of the ellipse.

Axis 1 Radius and Angle

Enter values to adjust the radius and angle of the first axis of the ellipse.

Axis 2 Radius and Angle

Enter values to adjust the radius and angle of the second axis of the ellipse.

Points

Specify the number of points of the ellipse. This parameter defines the number of segments of the ellipse. For example, if you enter 6, then a segment point will be inserted every 60°.

Store ellipse centre

Select this option to store the coordinates that define the centre of the ellipse.

Preview

Click the Preview button to see a preview of the ellipse. If you are happy with the result, click OK. Otherwise adjust the parameters you have entered and preview again.
