Generate Spurs

A surface triangulated from contours may contain unwanted flat regions. These flat regions can be categorised as either:

• the join zones that connect two contour levels (shown below in blue and purple)
• crests or depressions (shown below in red)



For join zones, the height is interpreted linearly. For crests or depressions, half the detected contour interval is applied.
