Multiple Split String
Click the Multiple Split String tool (or select the Multiple Split String option on the right-click menu) to split selected strings or a segment using either a specified point spacing or a specified number of points.
The Split function can be applied to a segment (if invoked by right-clicking on the segment of a selected string).
Split Options
When splitting a selected string or segment, the point spacing can be measured using either the horizontal (projected onto the plan) distance, or the actual 3D distance (taking into account the elevation).
If the selected string has segments, select the Split existing segments option to make each segment a separate string.
Apply to String or Segment
If the mouse is positioned over a segment of a selected string, the Apply To Segment option will be selected by default. Otherwise, Apply To String will be the only available option.
Point Spacing
Specify a distance that will be used as the interval between each point. If no point spacing is specified, the strings or segment will be split at a fixed (equidistant) interval.
Number of Points
Enter the number of points at which the selected strings or segment will be split.
