Axis Auto Calculate

If the shape of the stope is a three-dimensional (3D) rectangular prism in which the axes are perpendicular to each other, the appropriate axis lengths and orientations can be calculated and inserted automatically into the Optimisation | Stope Optimiser | Mine > Definition | Design | Underground | Stope Design | Design | Stope Axes grid list.

Length

Specify the length of the stope.

The value specified will be used as the minimum dimension for the unrotated X direction (00090).

Width

Specify the width of the stope.

The value specified will be used as the minimum dimension for the unrotated Y direction (00000).

Height

Specify the height of the stope.

The value specified will be used as the minimum dimension for the unrotated Z direction (90000).

Use Block Model Rotation

Select to align the axes of the stopes with the axes of the block model.

Use Custom Rotation

Select to apply a ZX rotation, which is a rotation around the Z axis followed by a rotation around the realigned X axis, to the stope. Both rotations are optional.

Dip

(Use Custom Rotation only.) Specify the angle (-90 <= x <= 90, positive upwards from horizontal) between the Y axis of the stope and the horizontal plane.

This applies the rotation around the realigned X axis.

Dip direction

(Use Custom Rotation only.) Specify the bearing (0 <= x <= 360, positive clockwise) for the Y axis of the stope.

This applies the rotation around the Z axis.

Example: To align the Y axis of the stope to -45030, set Dip = 45 and Dip direction = 30. To maintain the perpendicular relationships between the axes, the X axis will be aligned to 00120 and the Z axis to 45030.
