Project

The following project settings are provided on the Project tab of the Tools | Options | System form:

Auto load last project

Select this check box if you want the most recently loaded project to be opened each time you start the application. This is very useful when you are working on the same project over an extended period.

If this option is not selected, you will be prompted to choose a project from a list of current projects every time you restart the application. Use this option when you are working on many projects at the same time. If there is only one current project, it will automatically be loaded.

The title of the current project is displayed in the banner at the top of the main menu window. At any time you can change the current project with the File | Project | Select option.

Enable Master Project

Typically, a Master project is used to link to the projects you want to work with. The data for those projects may be located in different places within a geographic region. By loading a map of that region in Vizex, you can use the Link fields in a point or string layer to associate each real world location with a project.

In Vizex, when you click on a location you want to look at, the application will load that project. When you close the project, the application will automatically re-open the master project for you, ready to select a new location/project.

The "Enable Master project" option (Tools | Options | System | Project) allows you to specify and then enable a master project.
