Consumables Library
The Consumables Library is used to create an inventory of the explosive consumables that can be used to charge drill holes. You can enter the properties of various types of consumables; including bulk explosives, packaged (cartridge) explosives, detonators, boosters, surface connectors and other material such as stemming.
The Consumables Library is also available for use in the Surface Drill / Blast Design module.
Some of the following tabs are shared when you Edit Charge Groups .
There are several components used in drillhole charging and initiation. These consumable components have varying properties and attract differing costs.
The properties specified in the library will be used in relevant calculation. For example, when holes have been charged with a particular explosive product, the density of that product will be used to calculate the mass of that product within blastholes.
Note: Each consumable library definition you create will be saved to a development drilling database layer (*mmhdf). However, you can create multiple libraries for each design layer and utilize form sets to load the library you wish to use, or to exchange data.
Changes made to the properties of a consumable
It is important to note that any modifications made to a consumable will lead to the charge information of any assignee holes containing that consumable to be updated in accordance with the changes.
Import
The Consumables Library form features an Import button that is used to import a consumables database to the library.
If you click Import, the Import Consumables form opens.
Database
Double click or use the list button in the Database field to select the consumables library to be imported.
Click OK to import the selected database.
