Auto Build Wireframe

The Auto Build function is primarily used to create bifurcations (when the wireframe splits into two parts like a trouser leg). It also supports the use of tie-lines to enforce connectivity.

Under ideal conditions the Wireframe tools in Vizex will enable you to form triangles between closed strings without much manual intervention. However, no computer software will perform this task perfectly every time.

Mis-triangulation generally appears as a small "fold" in the wireframe.

  1. Click the Auto Build Solid Wireframe tool on the Wireframe Editing Toolbar.
  2. If no strings or contours are selected, you will be prompted by the Selection Assistant to select them.
  3. There will be occasions when you need to guide the triangulation process by adding Tie-lines.

  1. Press CTRL-Z (Edit | Undo) to undo the triangulation.
