Approve Records
When records are created they must be reviewed and approved. Record approval is a sanity check of your data that is required in addition to the Validations that are setup for the columns and tables in your schema. You cannot approve records if Validation has been turned off.
To approve records:
- Select the data record(s) that you wish to mark as approved. To select multiple records you can click and drag the mouse over any of the fields in the data view.
- Click the Approve Selected Rows button
on the toolbar ribbon (CTRL + Plus) or right-click and select Approve from the right-click menu. A summary of the results of the approval process is shown.
Approved records cannot be edited or deleted and are denoted by a padlock icon and a green background:
If you wish to delete approved records, you must unapprove them. If rows have already been exported, they cannot be unapproved. See: Unapprove Records
Unless you have set an option to perform nested approval in File | Options, the child records in a parent-child table relationship must be approved before a parent record can be approved.
